In addition helping clients with all forms of major business transactions, I assist clients in structuring, negotiating and documenting the terms of business arrangements necessary for the ongoing operation and expansion of their businesses.

CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS

I enjoy serving tax-exempt organizations. My passion for and commitment to the nonprofit community in the South Puget Sound, allows me to bring unique value to tax-exempt organizations. I provide advice on issues arising in all phases of a tax-exempt organization’s life cycle, including the preparation and filing of the application for recognition as a tax-exempt organization. I also advise on the full range of daily operations, from fundraising to sponsorship agreements to employment matters. I also assist with structuring transactions and alliances with other organizations.

WILLS AND TRUSTS

If you need a will or a revocable living trust, I can help. I have formed many family limited partnerships and liability companies for families who are interested in transferring wealth to kids and grandkids while retaining control over the business and its underlying assets.

REAL ESTATE

I represent individuals and businesses in real estate transactions. I draft both residential and commercial purchase and sale agreements, and I have substantial experience in preparing commercial leases and advising clients in connection with Section 1031 tax-deferred exchanges.
